Food has always been at the centre of Surfing Life. It started with big breakfasts for surfers coming in from the dawn session. Today we have two restaurants, each with its own mood.
The beachfront restaurant: easy, all-day dining
Our beachfront restaurant is all about relaxed, open-air dining. Come straight from the water, sit down in your boardshorts and order something good.
- Breakfast to fuel a morning surf, or to recover from one.
- Fresh seafood from the local catch, simply cooked.
- Light lunches, salads and snacks.
- Fresh juices, king coconuts and cold drinks all day long.
It’s the place for long, lazy lunches, catching up with friends and watching the day go by.
The evening restaurant: a little more refined
As the sun goes down, our second restaurant offers a more refined evening menu:
- Homemade dishes cooked with care, including Sri Lankan favourites.
- International dishes for when you’re craving something familiar.
- Expertly crafted cocktails to start the evening, or end it.
It’s still Surfing Life, so nobody needs to dress up. The kitchen is just a bit more ambitious, the lights a bit lower and the evenings a bit longer.
Something for everyone
Two kitchens means more choice through the day. Have an early coffee and eggs, take a beachfront lunch after your surf, and finish with dinner and a cocktail. Vegetarian options and spice adjustments are always possible. Just ask.
Open to everyone
You don’t need to be staying with us to eat here. Visitors, surfers from nearby and travellers passing through are all welcome. For groups or special occasions, please reserve a table in advance by WhatsApp on +94 777 401 667.
